Federal Work Study
The Federal Work-Study program provides jobs for students who have remaining financial need after all other scholarships, grants, and need-based loans have been awarded. The calculation of remaining financial need is determined through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). As a Federal Student Aid program, students participating in FWS must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
Students interested in on-campus jobs should consult the 大发体育开户 Employment Opportunities page through the Human Resources Office. Both Federal Work-Study positions and campus-funded student assistant positions are posted here. Campus departments will review applicants for available positions and will conduct interviews to select the student for the job(s) available in their department. As there are more FWS eligible students than there are available positions on-campus, it is important for students interested in FWS to put their best foot forward throughout the job application and interview process.
Students who work through the FWS or student assistant programs will be paid on a bi-weekly basis. Therefore, FWS and student assistant positions cannot be used to automatically pay student account balances. The funds earned through either of these campus employment programs can assist the student with funding for miscellaneous educational expenses incurred while enrolled at 大发体育开户.
